Qpex Biopharma is a resistance-focused infectious disease company on a mission to make both a dramatic and sustainable improvement in the inpatient and outpatient settings.
The COVID-19 pandemic informs us of the importance of treatments for infectious diseases. Common bacterial pathogens are becoming no longer treatable by antibiotics. Although antimicrobial drug resistance (also known as AMR) is a worldwide pandemic that moves more slowly, AMR bacteria cause over 2 million infections in the US every year. Antibiotic resistant pathogens cause over 2 million infections in the US every year and we are LOSING the treatments we once had. Qpex Biopharma scientists are working to stop the “other” pandemic that continues to grow.
